Whitney Quesenbery is the co-director of the Center for Civic Design. Her work in civic design began with her appointment to the U.S. Election Assistance Commission advisory committee writing federal voting system guidelines. She brings to her work expertise in user research, accessibility, and plain language along with a passion for understanding the story behind the data. She is proud to have worked on the plain language update to the California Voter Bill of Rights. The Center for Civic Design is home to the Field Guides to Ensuring Voter Intent, the Anywhere Ballot, and design research to understand how to design election materials to be useful, usable, and accessible. Current projects include work on election materials in states from California to Pennsylvania.
