Joint Center for Housing Studies, Harvard University
This report is modeled after The State of the Nation's Housing reports produced by the Joint Center for Housing Studies since the early 1980s. These reports provide a comprehensive overview of housing issues in the U. S. that are used by policy makers and businesses to assess current and future housing market conditions and to raise awareness among the broader public about the need to address the nation's most pressing housing problems. It is hoped that "The State of Mexico's Housing" report will serve a similar purpose in Mexico. A further goal of this report is to help identify areas where the collection of additional information would be particularly helpful.
