Stacey Warady Gillett is the Chief of Staff for the Office of Innovation at the New York City Department of Education. In this role she helps lead the Innovation Zone, a community of schools committed to better personalizing learning for students. Prior to this, she worked as an Advisor for the Center for Economic Opportunity in Mayor Bloomberg's office.

In this capacity she successfully led an effort to receive nearly $6 million from the White House's Social Innovation Fund to replicate the Center's most promising anti - poverty programs in New York City and seven other urban areas around the country. She previously worked on Capitol Hill for Senator Schumer and the House Committee on Government Reform, then led by Rep. Henry Waxman. Stacey received her BA in 2005 from Barnard College with a major in political science and minors in Spanish and dance.
