Event description: The panel discussed the relationship between community support and Detroit's turnaround schools/education reform efforts. They explored the important role that civic leaders—both outside the public school system and within—can play in engaging and mobilizing the support of parents, neighbors and other residents in a citywide effort to turnaround an education system that is failing so many of their young people.
This webinar was moderated by Professor Archon Fung with panelists Michael Tenbusch and Johnathon Matthews. This event was cosponsored by the Malcolm Wiener Center for Social Policy, Harvard Kennedy School.
