The Kaiser Commission on Medicaid and the Uninsured commissioned this report to learn more about the role that Medicaid plays in the ability of homeless people to get health care. This report examines the ability of homeless people to get the health care they need, and the factors that affect the receipt of care. Within the general rubric of health care, the authors include physical health, mental health, and substance abuse problems.
