Monica S. Liu is an MPP/MBA student and 2014–2015 Zuckerman Fellow at Harvard Kennedy School and Harvard Business School. In 2012, she founded an independent consulting practice serving nonprofit, government, and private sector clients in the K-12 education space, including the Bill & Melinda Gates Foundation, US Department of Education, Microsoft, and Digital Promise. She completed her A.B. in Psychology at Harvard College, where she also launched a civic technology startup (Townhall 140). Her career in public service and education started at the age of 16, when she was appointed by the governor of California to serve as the full-voting student member of the California State Board of Education.
