Dr. Levenson is an Associate Professor at Lynn University and a licensed clinical social worker with over 20 years of experience treating sexual abuse victims, survivors, perpetrators, and non-offending parents. Dr. Levenson’s numerous publications include studies investigating the selection of sex offenders for civil commitment, the impact of community notification and residence restrictions on offender re-integration, and sex offender treatment issues. She is a co-investigator on two NIJ grants investigating the effectiveness of sex offender registration and notification in reducing recidivism. She has published over forty articles and book chapters and has co-authored three books on the treatment of sex offenders and their families.
