Doug recently returned to UNDP in New York after twenty years of serving the UN/UNDP as a field-based development practitioner - covering three continents. Most recently Doug was stationed in Phnom Penh Cambodia where - as the UN Resident Coordinator / UNDP Resident Representative (RC/RR; rank of Ambassador) - he led UN development assistance focusing on: The Khmer Rouge Tribunals; achievement of the Millennium Development Goals (MDG’s); and democratic governance issues related to Parliament, elections, decentralization and anti-corruption. He also catalyzed national debate and research on the socio-economic impact of future oil and gas revenues.
