Alexander Starritt is the Media Director and one of the founding team at Apolitical, the global platform for public servants. He is also a fellow of the Royal Society of Arts and a contributor to a wide range of publications including The Guardian and The World Economic Forum's "Agenda." Before Apolitical he worked in print journalism, at the Daily Mail and Newsweek, where he created an Arts and Lifestyle section. He is the author of a novel about tabloid journalism, The Beast. At the more literary end of his activities, he has translated several works of fiction from German, including work by Franz Kafka, Stefan Zweig, Arthur Schnitzler and Bertolt Brecht. He has taught a seminar in translation at Oxford University.
