Registration required, and free of charge.~ This event is the last of four in the Series on Sexual Violence, sponsored by the Government Innovators Network and the National Institute of Justice. Additional event topics include sexual violence from an international perspective, sexual violence and evidence collection, and residency restrictions for sex offenders. Ample time will be allocated for audience Q&A. Did you know that more than 50 percent of college sexual assault cases involve alcohol? Despite media perceptions, date rape drugs are rarely used. Schools vary widely in how they comply with requirements to report and respond to sexual victimization. Many schools need guidance on how to handle security, report crime data, and ensure victim rights. This event will examine the prevalence, nature, and reporting of various types of sexual assault experienced by university students, including those perpetrated by "undetected" rapists, and will discuss evidence-based prevention strategies.
